Assemble at the airport and depart for Munich, the capital of Bavaria.
Upon arrival, make your way to the town of Fussen and see the Neuschwanstein Castle (exterior view only), one of the most popular castles in Europe. Thereafter, drive on to Wattens and stop by the Swarovski Crystal World, a glittering fantasy world housing the world’s biggest crystal, before proceeding to Salzburg to rest for the night.
Discover the beautiful setting of the famous film “The Sound of Music”. Waltz through the lush gardens of Mirabell Palace and view the Mozart’s birthplace at No. 9 Getreidegasse. Continue on your walking tour to the Old Town of Salzburg to admire the ensemble of baroque and medieval buildings, and drop by the magnificent Residence Square with its beautiful fountain. Then, embark on a quest around picturesque Hallstatt, snugly tucked between salt mountains and translucent lake. In the evening, head to the Vienna.
Start an unforgettable exploration of Austria's capital Vienna. Entrance to Schönbrunn Palace, a former residence of the imperial Habsburg family. Marvel at its frescoed ceilings, crystal chandeliers and gilded ornaments. Next, ready your camera for a dazzling drive around the famous Ring Road. Ringstrasse takes you past grand Baroque architecture such as the State Opera House, City Hall, Parliament and Hofburg Imperial Palace. End the tour at the stunning St. Stephen’s Cathedral. En route visit the Designer Outlet Parndorf for a spot of shopping. You’ll find sought-after designer fashion from Nike, Michael Kors, Furla, Gucci and many more always up to 70% less. Carry on to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Note: Parndorf Designer Outlet is closed on public holidays and Sundays. Visits are subject to change without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Premier Outlet Budapest will be the replacement.
Drive along the elegant boulevards en route to Heroes’ Square. Across the river in Buda, walk with local guide along the medieval cobblestone streets of the Castle district to visit Matthias Church and admire sweeping views from the Fisherman’s Bastion over the exquisite Hungarian Parliament Building and St Stephen’s basilica. Spend time browsing the boutiques on Vaci Street or relax in a sidewalk café. You may wish to embark on an optional Danube River cruise that covers the most fascinating sights in Budapest. Enjoy a Danube River cruise with a sumptuous buffet of the delicious foods as you sail along watching the illuminated landmarks of this stunning city.
Today, we’re off to Krakow. Cross over the border into Slovakia and travel through Donovaly and past the Tatra Mountains. Have a leisurely walk through the beautiful streets of Krakow and visit the cathedral atop Wawel Hill, see the castle and look for the iconic dragon. Continue through the Old Town with a view of the St. Mary's Basilica and the medieval Sukiennice Cloth Hall.
Set out to the harrowing grounds of Auschwitz Concentration Camp. Formerly Nazi Germany's concentration camp, its main purpose was to carry out the extermination of Jews through forced and demanding labour, mass executions, and human experiments. Next, en route, visiting the Wieliczka Salt Mine, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descending underground, you’ll walk through 2km of tunnels, chapels, reliefs and freestanding sculptures carved from salt rock walls, along with underground lakes and archaeological displays.
Continue to Wrocław, the historical capital of Lower Silesia in Western Poland. Mill about the Old Town of Wrocław, a remarkable area filled with Baroque splendour that was painfully reconstructed after WWII. Then enjoy free time at the vibrant Market Square.
Leaving Wroclaw behind, continue the journey to Berlin. Enjoy city guided tour for an exploration of 'East meets West' and delve into the story behind their reunification. See the imposing Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag building, with its famous glass dome. Just finished 13D11N Eastern Europe with Dylan Teoh. Dylan was attentive to our group needs and took efforts to accommodate the group. We appreciate that he took initiative to plan and make slight changes to our itinerary so we never felt the need to rush. He always take time to ensure we were well settled for meals/hotels before going off for his own. He is always nagging about safety and checking our belongings which we appreciate very much. It kept us on our toes. However we were not impressed with the Prague local guide. She merely named the buildings and attractions we were looking at without giving any additional information.
