Your first stop is the famed
Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a
German town in northern Bavaria
renowned for its medieval
architecture. Wander along the
half-timbered houses lined along
the narrow, cobbled lanes of the
Old Town and the surrounding
town walls that boast well-preserved
gate houses and towers with
a covered walkway at the top.
Next up is St. James Church,
home to an intricate, late Gothic
altarpiece by woodcarver Tilman
Riemenschneider, while the
Town Hall’s 52-metre-high tower
affords visitors with spectacular
views. Thereafter, proceed to
Nuremberg.
Be blown away at first sight of
the Imperial Castle of Nuremberg,
one of the former residences of
the Holy Roman Emperors which
has been around for a thousand
years. Then, check out the
Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer’s
House, before heading to the
bustling square Hauptmarkt to
find the imposing Frauenkirche
and the gilded Schöner Brunnen
fountain – the latter is said to
grant a wish to those who turn
the golden ring on the railings
three times. Head to Munich to
enjoy some retail therapy at Ingolstadt Village, where you’ll
find a range of designer brands

This morning, you may wish to
join an optional excursion to
Zugspitze, the highest mountain
in Germany looming at 2962m
above sea level. Make your way to
the town of Füssen to see the
Neuschwanstein Castle (view of
the exterior only). One of the
most popular castles in Europe,
Neuschwanstein was built as a
place of retreat for King Ludwig II
and transformed into a medieval
dream world filled with all of his
longing and ideals. Spend the
night in the enchanting town.

Today we will cross into
Switzerland and drop by the
lovely town, St. Gallen. Explore
the St. Gallen Abbey District,
which has been listed a UNESCO
World Cultural Heritage site since
1983. Visit the city's landmark
Baroque cathedral and its
unrivalled medieval masterpiece,
the Abbey Library of Saint Gall –
one of the oldest and most
beautiful libraries in the world.
Travel on to Lucerne, make a
stop at the Old Chapel Bridge –
the oldest wooden bridge in
Switzerland – and the Lion
Monument. Enjoy a stroll
through the Old Town with its
unspoiled buildings covered with
colourful murals.
Today, spend the day at leisure to
explore this charming town on
your own. Alternatively, you may
choose to go on an optional
journey to Mt Titlis at your own
expense.

Delve into a world of legends and
fairy tales as you enter the
enchanting Black Forest in
Germany. Pay a visit to the
famous Lake Titisee, where you
can admire the gorgeous scenery
overlooking the sparkling waters.
You may wish to join an optional
trip to the dramatic Rhine Falls at
Schaffhausen, the largest
waterfall in Europe. Thereafter,
transfer to Heidelberg for night.

After breakfast, begin your
orientation tour of Heidelberg –
view the ruins of Heidelberg
Castle, one of the most important
Renaissance structures north
of the Alps, as well as the
Baroque-style Old Town with its
bustling market squares and

before continuing to Frankfurt.
Take a turn in Frankfurt’s
charming Römerberg and
Altstadt.
