Today you will board the
to Chur, an Alpine city in Switzerland. The
Glacier Express is an express train
connecting railway stations from the east
to the west of Switzerland. It is also
referred to as the ‘slowest express train in
the world’ and there is a good reason for
this slow pace: the train squeezes its way
through the Alps, through narrow valleys,
tight curves, 91 tunnels, and across 291
bridges. Thereafter, you will transfer back
to Zurich for an overnight stay.
