Assemble at the airport and depart for Zurich Switzerland's financial centre.
Upon your arrival, embark on an
orientation tour of Lucerne with your
tour manager. Visit the Old Chapel
Bridge – the oldest wooden bridge in
Switzerland, Old Town Lucerne with its
unspoiled buildings covered with
colourful murals and the Lion
Monument. Then, make your way to
the Glacier Garden Museum, which
was discovered in 1872. Here, you’ll find
Glacial Potholes that dates back to the
Ice Age.
Today, board the cogwheel train in
Vitznau and ascend to Rigi Kulm, the
highest peak of Mount Rigi. Also
known as the ‘Queen of the
Mountains’, Mt. Rigi is encircled by a
trio of lakes – Lake Lucerne, Lake Zug
and Lake Lauerz – and adjacent to the
neighbouring peaks of Mount Pilatus
and Brunnistock. At 1,797 metres above
sea level, you’ll get to enjoy a truly
phenomenal, 360-degree panorama
of no fewer than 13 lakes and a ‘sea of
peaks’. As night falls, enjoy a 4-course
Swiss fondue combo dinner at the
Swiss-themed Bebbis Restaurant in
Interlaken.
Bask in the nature of the Bernese
Oberland region with its
picture-perfect landscapes
accentuated by countless mountain
peaks and glistening lakes. Enjoy the
morning free at leisure for some
shopping or sightseeing at your
pleasure. You may wish to take part in
an optional sledging activity, where you
board a specially designed Snow Bus
for a comfortable ride up to Mt. Bussalp.
Enjoy marvellous views of the
Jungfrau’s snowy peaks as you sledge
down the twists and turns of the 7.6km
long sledge run; the longest in Europe.
Stay overnight in Tasch.
Optional: Sledging on Mt. Bussalp
Begin your day with a visit to Zermatt,
an old, idyllic village nestled in a deep valley enclosed between steep
mountains, and situated right at the
foot of the Matterhorn. A unique,
car-free destination that is best
explored on foot, Zermatt draws you in
with its charming cobbled streets and
lovely horse-drawn carriages – a scene
straight out of a storybook. Board the
world’s first fully electrified cog railway
– the Gornergrat Bahn – which starts
from the village centre in Zermatt,
through verdant forests and lovely
meadows up to the Gornergrat
(3,089m). Here, you’ll find Switzerland’s
highest hotel, the 3100 Kulmhotel
Gornergrat. From the observation
platform, you’ll be treated to
magnificent views of the Monte Rosa
massif with Switzerland’s highest peak
(Dufourspitze, 4,634 m); the
second-largest glacier in the Alps, the
Gorner Glacier; and a total of 29
mountains above 4,000m, including
the Matterhorn in all its glory.
Afterwards, visit the Matterhorn
Museum for a deeper insight into the
history and development of Zermatt.
After breakfast, journey to the Great
Aletsch Glacier – an impressive sea of
ice that runs over 23km from its
formation in the Jungfrau region down
to the Massa Gorge, around 2,500m
below. Ascend up to the Moosfluh
viewpoint and be mesmerised by the
fantastic views overlooking the large
glacier. Spend the night in Chur, the
oldest city in Switzerland.
Today, you will board the world-famous
UNESCO World Heritage train, the
Bernina Express (return trip). Admire
the spectacular scenery on the world’s
highest-altitude railroad, as you pass
through 55 tunnels and over 196
bridges along the way, including the
signature 65-metre-high Landwasser
Viaduct.
Start your morning with a visit to the
Abbey Library of Saint Gall, a UNESCO
World Heritage Site that houses one of
the oldest collections in Europe. The
intricate and elaborate artworks
installed in the ceiling framed by
flowing, curved mouldings exude a
surreal and fantastical ambience. Spend
some time in the town of St. Gallen
before travelling to Zurich for the night
Note: Abbey Library is closed on 08 Nov – 23 Nov,
24-25 Dec 2021. There will be no replacement
program.
After breakfast, join your tour manager on
an orientation tour of Zurich, the largest
city in Switzerland. Relish in the sights of the beautiful city, its architecture, and its
turquoise lake. The world-renowned
financial center draws millions of visitors
to its picturesque compact city. Get to
know more about this financial hub by
visiting the Swiss National Museum.
Take a stroll down the old town and drop
by Bahnhofstrasse, a shopping avenue
selling luxury goods.

We were on the alpine tour to Switzerland leaving 25/3/ 22. We had great fun and enjoyment , thanks to the great tour manger WANG JIAFU . He was so meticulous in the planning of the trip and also gave us some history of Switzerland . He was so careful that I caught him preparing for our next event while we were busy shopping and eating . His time balances for the public train was superb. He was so kind that when my husband and I wanted to go back hotel earlier he volunteered to take us back by train first while the others were shopping . However we turned down his good offer.I will definitely go with EU holidays for future trips esp when JIAFU leads you will feel so SAFE.

Tour: 10 DAYS 07 NIGHTS ULTIMATE TRAIN TOUR OF SWITZERLAND + 2 NIGHTS DUBAIDeparture date: 15-26 DecTour manager: Joe TehJoe Teh is an effective and concerned tour managerwho really take care all of the members. As a muslim, we have concerns eating meat at Switzerland although EUHoliday mention about non-pork and lardand he handle that concern very well.Once, one of the members was out of sight and went to the toilet. He stayed back and ensure her well being while the rest of the members to the next destination. The trip is not really perfect though due to weather in Switzerland but Joe Tehprovide a good alternative to Schilthorn. The train tour is not a normal tour in which you just sit in the coach. The journey is 90 % train which lets you embrace Switzerland's lifestyle and enjoy the mountain view.
