Assemble at the airport and depart for
Zürich, Switzerland’s financial centre.
Upon your arrival, visit Zürich, the
largest city in Switzerland. Relish in the
sights of the beautiful yet compact city,
the marvellous architecture, and the
glittering turquoise lake. Take a stroll
down the Old Town and drop by
Bahnhofstrasse, an exclusive shopping
boulevard where you’ll find your
favourite luxury brands. Thereafter,
travel to Bern to enjoy an orientation
tour of the city – explore its UNESCO
World Heritage Old Town on foot and
see the Bear Pit, the astronomical clock
tower Zytglogge, Einstein House and
the House of Parliament.
This morning, excite your taste buds at
Maison Cailler – the wonderful world of
Cailler chocolate where all your senses
are indulged. Hear the fascinating tales
of François-Louis Cailler, who brought
the first chocolate recipe to Switzerland in 1819, then round off the visit with a
Cailler chocolate tasting session. Next,
visit The Patek Philippe Museum,
experience a journey through five
centuries of watchmaking. The
museum gathers the most prestigious
creations of the brand’s master
watchmakers as well as an
extraordinary collection of watches,
musical automata and enamel
miniatures from the 16th to the 19th
centuries of Genevan, Swiss and
European origins. After which, set off
on an orientation tour of the gorgeous
city of Geneva. Strategically situated by
the shores of Lake Geneva are many
international bodies such as the World
Health Organization, International
Labour Organization and International
Committee of the Red Cross. Don’t
forget to see the magnificent Jet
d’Eau, the highest fountain in the
world, and the lovely Flower Clock.
After breakfast, journey on to Montreux
for a photo stop before paying a visit to the 1000-year-old Chillon Castle – an
oval shaped masterpiece positioned
on a small, rocky outcrop that pokes
into Lake Geneva. Indulge in a novel
experience of wine tasting inside the
castle. Next, pay a visit to Barryland,
home to the famous St. Bernard dogs!
You'll get to explore the history of the
Swiss national dog, watch the dogs
frolic around in the park grounds,
stroke a St. Bernard and even have a
picture taken with them! Retire for
the night in Brig.
Begin your day with a visit to Zermatt –
an old, idyllic village nestled in a deep
valley enclosed between steep
mountains and situated right at the
foot of the Matterhorn. A special,
car-free place that is best explored on
foot, Zermatt draws you in with its
charming, cobbled streets and lovely
horse-drawn carriages, presenting a
scene straight out of a storybook. Take a
scenic train ride up to Gornergrat at
3,089m for a stunning panorama featuring the Monte Rosa massif
comprising Switzerland’s highest peak;
the second largest glacier in the Alps –
Gorner Glacier; and a total of 29
mountains peaking above 4,000m that
also includes the Matterhorn in all its
glory. Finally, enjoy some free time
exploring Zermatt at your leisure.
Prepare to be blown away by some of
Switzerland's most beautiful vistas as
you board the renowned Glacier
Express today. From the extra large
windows of the panoramic carriages,
you will be taken past majestic
mountains and deep gorges, delightful
plains and crystal-clear lakes before
you step off in the rustic village of
Andermatt. Thereafter, make your way
to Interlaken for an orientation tour of
the scenic resort town that is presided
over by the mighty Eiger, Mönch and
Jungfrau mountains. As night falls,
enjoy a 4 course Swiss fondue combo
dinner at the Swiss-themed Bebbis
Restaurant.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon
exploring the beautiful surrounding
mountain region freely or take the
opportunity to try out some of the
various sports activities offered here.
