Assemble at the airport and depart for Madrid, the central capital of Spain.
Embark on a guided city tour of Madrid and discover its highlights, including the magnificent Royal Palace and the iconic Cibeles Fountain. Next, make a stop at the famous Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home of the Real Madrid football club, as well as the bustling Puerta del Sol and the charming Plaza Mayor, all of which offer a glimpse into Madrid's culture and history. In the evening, enjoy a delectable dinner featuring Spanish Tapas and complemented by Cava, a sparkling wine that originated in Spain.
Indulge in some retail therapy at El Corte Ingles, the largest department store group in Europe, and receive a VIP welcome complete with rewards card, wine, and tapas. Afterwards, you can choose to spend the rest of your day at your leisure or join an exciting tour of Toledo, famously known as the city of three cultures - Arabic, Christian, and Jewish - and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the narrow labyrinth of streets and discover the Toledo Cathedral, a holy sanctuary that houses significant works of art, including a magnificent baroque high altar and two striking El Greco paintings.
Drive towards the northwest to the enchanting city of Segovia, and embark on an orientation tour of its historic streets with a local guide. Marvel at the impressive 2000-year-old Aqueduct of Segovia, one of the most well-preserved ancient Roman monuments on the Iberian Peninsula. Don't forget to capture stunning shots of the Segovia Cathedral and the Alcázar of Segovia before satisfying your appetite with a sumptuous meal at Meson De Candido, a Michelin Guide Restaurant. Treat your taste buds to the mouth-watering Segovia-style Roast Suckling Pig, perfectly complemented by red wine. Next, head towards Ávila, an ancient Spanish town that is entirely enclosed by 11th-century walls, which gives it the appearance of a grand castle. In the evening, we will stop in Salamanca for an overnight stay.
Today, we will cross the border to Portugal and visit Porto, a coastal city in the northwest region known for its famous bridges and production of port wine. Together with the local guide, we'll explore some of the city's iconic landmarks, including Porto Se Cathedral, Torres & Igreja dos Clerigos, and Avenida dos Aliados. We'll also visit a wine cellar and have the opportunity to taste the world-renowned Port wine, which is exclusively produced in the Douro Valley. In the evening, we'll dine at a nearby restaurant and savour the local specialty of Seafood rice, paired perfectly with a glass of wine.
Take a guided walk through Fátima, which is among the most significant Catholic shrines globally, namely the Sanctuary of Fátima, where four million devotees gather every year. This is the location where, in 1917, the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared to three peasant children. After concluding the visit, you can travel to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, and indulge in a delicious meal of Portuguese Piri Piri Chicken and Bacalhau à Bras, accompanied with a glass of green wine at a local restaurant.
Today, join a local guide to explore the vibrant city of Lisbon and visit its most renowned landmark, the Belem Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Admire the intricate cloisters of the Jeronimos Monastery and the Discoveries Monument dedicated to Prince Henry the Navigator. Immerse yourself in the bustling atmosphere of Rossio Square, wander through the winding medieval alleys of the Alfama Quarter, and watch the swaying cruise boats docked at the Port of Lisbon. The rest of the day is yours to spend at your leisure, or join an excursion outside of Lisbon. The optional tour will take you to the medieval village and coastal cliffs of Cabo da Roca, followed by a visit to the medieval town of Sintra and the well-preserved fishing village of Cascais, which dates back to the 12th-century. Discover the intriguing history of Cascais and marvel at the breathtaking Portuguese coastline.
As we journey towards Seville, the capital of Spain's Andalusia region, you can enjoy a smooth drive back to Spain. Once there, you can embark on a city tour led by a local guide and take in the impressive sights that Seville has to offer. Marvel at the Plaza de Toros, a bullring that took several decades to construct, and the Plaza de España, a building complex that epitomizes Spanish Renaissance Revival architecture. Enter the majestic Seville Cathedral, which houses the Tomb of Christopher Columbus, and climb the Giralda bell tower, one of the world's three remaining Almohad minarets. Note: If the Seville Cathedral & Bell Tower is closed due to festive holidays or masses, we will provide a replacement experience with entrance to the Bullring.
After leaving Seville, head towards Córdoba, an ancient Roman city and a significant center of Islamic culture during the Middle Ages. Accompanied by a local guide, wander through the streets and alleys of the Historic Center of Córdoba and visit the magnificent Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba, also known as the Mezquita. This impressive architectural masterpiece is renowned for its enormous size and high ceilings. Afterwards, continue the journey to Granada for an overnight stay. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Granada is a city located in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
Start your day by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Alhambra Palace, where the walls made of special clay undergo varying transformations with the changing light and water, creating unique decorative effects. Afterward, head to the Generalife Gardens and marvel at the lush greenery and fountains once owned by former Arab kings. Depart for Valencia and join a sightseeing tour of the city with a local guide, where you can admire the distinctive Gothic exterior of Valencia Cathedral and snap photos of the impressive Torres de Serranos, which was built to protect the city along the old city walls. Don't forget to make a stop at the City of Arts & Science, one of the most important modern tourist destinations in Valencia and considered one of the 12 Treasures of Spain. Tonight, enhance your dining experience with two variations of Paella - Seafood & Squid Ink Paella, and pair it with a glass of white wine to complement the flavours. Note: In light of the new regulations at Alhambra Palace, if we are unable to visit, we will provide each passenger with a reimbursement of a S$70 EU Voucher.
Embark on a journey to Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain's Catalonia region, and immerse yourself in its splendour with a local guide. Marvel at the celebrated art nouveau style buildings, such as Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, located along the elegant Passeig de Gràcia avenue. Enter the impressive La Sagrada Familia Church and witness its stunning interior. Admire the towering Columbus Monument and the monumental bullring. Take some time to explore the bespoke boutiques at La Roca Village, a sophisticated shopping center that offers luxurious designer brands at recommended retail prices, within its stylish and spacious complex. Note: Please be advised that La Roca Outlet may be subject to replacement with La Roza Outlet without prior notice due to unforeseen circumstances, which may include factors such as timing of Sagrada Entrance, Public Holidays, and Sundays. If the Sagrada Familia is closed due to special events or fiestas, we will provide a replacement visit to Park Guell, including entrance.
Enjoy a leisurely morning after breakfast and spend some free time until it's time to transfer to the airport for your flight home.

I just came back from the trip to Spain and Portugal led by Mei (19 Dec 2018 - 1 Jan 2019). I feel really fortunate to have Mei as our guide. Mei has taken very good care of us, and I truly felt her heart for wanting us to have an enjoyable and memorable trip. Most of all, I love the passion she has for Spain and Portugal. I learnt so much about these countries through her sharing, even though sometimes we may fall asleep on the bus due to tiredness (our bad!) Her passion triggered my interest to find out more about these countries on my own. Thank you Mei, and EU Holidays once again! Hope to travel with Mei again next time.

Joined a tour group led by Mei to Spain & Portugal (19/12/18 - 1/1/19). It’s my first time joining a tour group and despite all the mad rush to different cities every morning, I certainly am glad to have an experienced and caring guide (Mei) to lead us and ensure everyone/everything is well taken care of.Mei is like the mother hen cum information booth cum ‘cause she’s been around and is pretty familiar with the European cities. I’m truly amazed at the depth of her knowledge in the history and culture of the multiple cities and appreciate that she shared with us her experiences and other essential information (that a country bumpkin like myself) we need to know.In a nutshell it’s been an enjoyable trip and it’s like attending a historical field trip overseas. Love the itinerary and wish it could be extended!Kudos to Mei and EU Holidays!
