Visit the Vatican City – a walled enclave within Rome and feast your eyes upon St. Peter’s Basilica, a Catholic shrine renowned for its Renaissance architecture. View ‘The Pieta’, a magnificent work done by Renaissance sculptor Michelangelo, as well as enter the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum - entrance included for both attractions. Then, marvel at the masterpiece of Trevi Fountain, the city’s largest Baroque fountain. Note: In the event if Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel is not available, it will be replaced with Colosseum without prior notice.
Journey south to the well-preserved ruins of Pompeii. Enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological site and find out how this ancient Roman civilization was buried following the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Explore the well- preserved buildings, temples and other fully intact structures, all of which offer an insight into the fascinating day-to-day lives of the citizens during ancient times. Continue to Sorrento, where you will have some time to walk about the town beginning from Piazza Tasso and admire the local traditional craftworks of wood inlay.
Today, make your way to Amalfi, a historic town situated along the picturesque Amalfi Coast. Stop by Belvedere Positano to admire the picturesque scenery of this authentic jewel anchored to the rock. Continue to Praiano, fishing village and seaside resort. Last stop at Amalfi, the oldest Maritime Republic of Italy. See the Cathedral and enjoy free time at the lovely old town before returning to Sorrento.
Enjoy the day free at leisure to explore Sorrento. You may wish to make an optional trip to discover the Isle of Capri. Experience Capri's spectacular cliffs and take a boat tour to check out the Blue Grotto, a renowned sea cave whose waters glow a brilliant shade of turquoise blue, presenting an absolutely magical sight. After the cruise, head up to the town of Capri for a brief stroll in this jet set haven and enjoy some local treats. Optional: Capri Excursion with Lunch (*Blue Grotto boat ride is subject to weather conditional)
Escape from the city and make your way to Civita di Bagnoregio - a village perched on a precarious rockstack. Founded in the 7th century and accessible via a pedestrian bridge, admire the Romanesque San Donato Church that sits in the main square. Then, move on to the mystical town of Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis, under whose protection this medieval city is said to remain. Make a stop at the Basilica of St. Francis, before stroll down to picturesque streets of Piazza del Comune.
Head to one of Italy’s best-known luxury shopping outlets under The Mall and enjoy savings up to 70%! Check out some of Italy high fashion's biggest names such as Prada, Ferragamo, Versace, Armani, Furla and a host of other fashionable brands. Stroll around Piazza della Signoria and its historic monuments, cross the landmark Ponte Vecchio bridge, then admire the legendary Duomo and the iconic Florence Baptistery of St. John. Enjoy panoramic views of Florence from the top of Piazzale Michelangelo.
Brighten your day by proceeding on today’s highlight, Cinque Terre – an enchanting cluster of villages perched on the rugged peaks along the Italian Riviera coastline. Begin with Monterosso al Mare, the largest of the five villages and get on a train to Manarola. Take a jaunt down Via dell’Amore, otherwise known as the ‘Pathway of Love’, and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and amorous grafitti along the path. Upon reaching the end of the path, you will find yourself in Riomaggiore, a village boasting romantic vistas overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Then proceed to the famous city of Pisa and its Square of Miracles to get your pictures taken with the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa.
Venture to Venice and spend the day exploring the 'Queen of the Adriatic'. Board a private water taxi to the heart of Venice to commence your guided tour – roam round St. Mark's Square and the famous St. Mark's Basilica, which is nicknamed the 'church of gold' due to its opulent design and gold ground mosaics. Swing by the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, two of Venice’s main landmarks, for some breathtaking pictures to bring back as mementos. Lastly, visit a glass blowing factory to learn more about the art of Murano glassmaking. Enjoy the rest of the evening exploring at leisure before retiring for the night. Optional: Gondola Ride
