Assemble at the airport for your
flight to Jeddah, city is known as
the "Bride of the Red Sea" and
one of the most beautiful cities in
Saudi Arabia.
Start the day off with a visit to
Jeddah’s historical downtown
area Al-Balad which is the
historical area well known as the
"Old Town", where many of the
oldest families used to live and
work. It boasts of old buildings, a
traditional souk and many
restaurants. While visiting
Al-Balad, you will be taken to see
Beit Nassif, one of the prominent
structures in the old city dating
back to the mid 1800's. The
five-story building provides a rare
opportunity for the visitors to
experience the blend of
traditional architecture with
modernity. Next up, we shall visit
the famous Floating Mosque, the
Al Rahma Mosque, which is
amongst the most prominent
mosques and the local landmarks
in Jeddah. Also known as Fatima
Al-Zahra Mosque, it is present on
the northern tip of Jeddah's
waterfront and covers a massive
area of 2,400 m². Thereafter, visit
one of the most famous ancient
museums of Jeddah, Abdul Raouf
Khalil Museum that showcases
2,500-year-old history of the city.
Displaying the history of the
pre-Islamic era, pre-modern
civilisations, and the rich Islamic
cultural heritage, it exhibits
ancient archaeological collections
related to Saudi heritage and
Ottoman Empire. Take a stroll
along the Jeddah Corniche, the
shore of the Red Sea, where the
corniche features a coastal road,
recreation areas, pavilions, and
large-scale civic sculptures for all
to enjoy and take pictures.
Heading towards Taif, a city and
governorate in the Makkah
Province of Saudi Arabia. Taif is
often dubbed the “City of Roses”.
Visit The Rashid Husain Al
Qorashei Rose Farm and Factory,
a famous spot for seeing rose
perfumes being made. Make a
stop at the popular local
Strawberry Plantation Farm
located in Al-Hada area producing
high-quality strawberries and
strawberry-made products.
Experience Saudi’s longest cable
car ride to descend from Ah Hada
Mountain. A serpentine road sweeping elegantly down the
mountainside, as do ancient
zig-zagging camel trails and
passing through the old
pedestrian road towards the
tourist village of Alkar at the
bottom of the mountain. Taif’s
central market is a labyrinth of
narrow alleys, which snake
through sand-coloured buildings
to peaceful plazas. Laid out in
themed areas, explore sections
devoted to rich local honey,
perfume, Islamic clothing, and
jewellery. Head back to Jeddah for
dinner in the hotel.
After breakfast, depart via a
high-speed train to Medinah.
Start your visit with a Medinah
city tour and prepare to be
amazed by the city's most
stunning architecture. Drive
along and marvel the striking
Prophet's Mosque; one of the
most dominating buildings along
Al Madinah's skyline. Continue
along to the Al Baqee, a
cemetery famous for being the
resting place of Islamic Prophet
Mohammed’s many relatives and
companions. Explore the sights
along the Red Route, including
the Uhud Battlefield and The
Trench Battlefield. Both
locations are known for where
two of the Muslim Army's biggest
battles have taken place. Visit Dar
Al Medina Museum, which
focuses on the history of Medina
and its role during the
post-Hijrah Muslim period. The
museum exhibits around 2,000
exhibits that capture the heritage
and culture of al-Madinah and
document the landscape, the
people and how it has been
shaped over the years.
This morning heads to Alula,
nestled within the Wadi Al-Qura
in the heart of the region. Visit
Elephant Rock, this spectacular
rock formation resembles an
elephant with its trunk touching the ground, is one of Alula’s
geomorphological wonders and
one of Alula iconic landmarks.
Visit Hegra Heritage Site, the first
World Heritage property to be
inscribed in Saudi Arabia and the
largest conserved site of the
civilization of the Nabataeans
south of Petra in Jordan. It
features well-preserved
monumental tombs with
decorated facades dating from
the 1st century BC to the 1st
century AD. Proceed to Dadan &
Jabal Iqmah, a mountain near to
the ancient city of Dadan, the
capital of Dadanite and Lihyanite
Kingdoms, which has been
described as a huge open-air
library.
After breakfast, depart for Hegra
directly. Upon arrival, head to the
visitor center to learn about the
historical significance of the site
and the thriving Nabatean
civilization. Explore the
well-preserved facades,
rock-carved structures, and
tombs that unveil a history dating
back thousands of years. Gain
insights into the captivating
culture and architectural
techniques of the Nabateans as
you continue the guided tour
throughout the day, visiting other
significant sites and tombs in this
ancient city.
After breakfast, you'll be
transported to the domestic
airport for your flight to Riyadh. In
Riyadh, the iconic Kingdom
Center beckons. Ascend to the
99th floor via a high-speed lift and
step onto the breathtaking Sky
Bridge, suspended 300 meters
above the city. Take in the
panoramic urban splendour
before indulging in shopping at a
distinguished mall. Explore the
historic Masmak Fortress, a
marvel crafted from mud and clay,
witness to the Battle of Riyadh. Immerse yourself in the
enchanting Al Zal traditional Flee
Market & Dira Souq, a trove of
Eastern artifacts. Visit the National
Museum and glimpse the
UNESCO heritage site of Diriyyah
from outside.
After breakfast, transfer to Riyadh
train station for a trip to Hofuf Al
Asha Oasis (2.5h by Train). Visit the
UNESCO World Heritage site Al
Asha, the city known as the home
to one of the world’s largest natural
Oasis. Drive around Palm Oasis,
which is not just palm oasis but also its own civilization, culture,
mountains, and people providing
the city with a unique identity. Visit
the Princes School, the oldest
public school in Saudi Arabia and
linked to the history and
accomplishments of King
Abdulaziz Al Saud. Move towards
Al-Qarah Mountain, located to the
east of Al-Ahsa, a major tourism
attraction and natural and
historical landmark in the
Kingdom. You may scale this
limestone mesa and will be able to
hear the latter while witnessing
the lush green impact of the
former. Recently, Al-Ahsa Oasis has
been nominated as one of the
seven wonders of the world.
Thereafter, tuck-up your dinner at
the local restaurant before your
train journey back to Riyadh.
After breakfast, venture to
Ushaiqer, an ancient town in
Najd. Explore the charming
Ushaiger heritage village, where
you can stroll along shaded
pathways, passing by 400 mud
houses and 25 mosques. Some
houses, with their original family
names, have been renovated.
Return to Riyadh and then head
to the airport for your journey
home, carrying the essence of
heritage with you.
