Assemble at the airport for your flight to Belgrade– the Capital and largest city of Serbia.

Upon your arrival, embark on a guided tour to Kalemegdan Park and the Belgrade Fortress, where you’ll see the ruins of the ancient city of Singidunum, known today as Belgrade. The Victor Monument is the most famous symbol of Belgrade, the statue looks forward across the confluence of the Sava and the Danube rivers. Continue to the centre of the town, where you’ll take in the Republic Square. After lunch, head to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s capital- Sarajevo for the night.
Proceed to the Sarajevo War Tunnel for a visceral wartime experience of the Siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s. Following that, head out to Mostar, a picturesque city spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River. Follow the tour guide and amble along the magnificent Old Bridge for an extraordinary panorama over the river. Bask in the lively atmosphere of the Old Bazaar. Then travel to Dubrovnik, with its picturesque setting on the stunning Adriatic coast.
Enjoy a free day of leisure for some shopping or sightseeing at your pleasure in Dubrovnik. You may wish to embark on an excursion to the Montenegro Blue half-day tour - surrounded by high mountains reflected in the blue waters, a fjord-shaped Bay of Kotor is one of the most spectacular landscapes on the Mediterranean. Drive along the bay past Risan and picturesque Perast, a home-town of many captains to reach the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spend the morning getting acquainted with the historic Old Town. Continue walking down the limestone-clad Stradun, one of the widest and straightest streets in Old Town, until you reach the Renaissance-era Sponza Palace, which is today the home of the state archives. Other highlights you’ll hit along the way include the city’s Bell tower, Orlando’s Column, the Church of St. Blaise, dedicated to the patron saint of Dubrovnik. One option of the best ways to see the city is from the top of the City Walls. The spectacular views are worth the climb up. Proceed on to Neum, the only town situated along the coastline of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the country’s only access to the Adriatic Sea.
Ramble through the Croatian countryside to wind up in Split, a town on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast that was founded by the Emperor Diocletian in AD305 to construct his retirement palace. Have a ball of a time touring this seaside city with a guide, who will bring you to enter the massive Diocletian’s Palace and explore all its nooks and crannies, including the remains of the original palace, and the Peristil Square. Then continue to Zadar, a city built in the centre of the Croatian Adriatic with three thousand years of tumultuous history. Embark on a guided promenade about the city and visit the Western Quay for an up-close look at the Sea Organ and the Monument to the Sun, follow by St. Donatus Church, the Roman Forum, St. Anastasia’s Cathedral, St. Mary’s Church and the Lion’s Gate.
A drive through the Croatian highlands reveal splendid alpine scenery as you arrive in one of Europe’s most impressive national parks – the Plitvice Lakes National Park. Take pleasure in a guided tour of the beautiful landscapes within the UNESCO National Heritage park, adorned with sixteen lakes that are interconnected by a series of waterfalls and deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. Savour the riveting beauty of nature from a different perspective on the waters as you join an Electric Boat Ride. Then head to the capital of Croatia, Zagreb for overnight. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the Upper and Lower Town – catch a glimpse of top attractions like the King Tomislav Square, the Stone Gate, St. Mark’s Square and the Church of St. Mark, the Strossmayer Promenade, Zagreb Cathedral, Ban Jelačić Square and Dolac Market.

Enjoy a scenic lunch in its cliff top Bled Castle for a picture-perfect vista of glistening waters and the surrounding natural beauty. In the afternoon, you may wish to make an optional visit to Lake Bohinj before you end your day. After that, head to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
Journey to the town of Postojna and embark on a unique cave tour of the renowned Postojna Cave – one of the world’s largest karst monuments. I was with a group of four who opted for EU Holidays for the first time and decided on the 12D10N Discover Balkans departing April 04th and off we went not expecting much. But to our most pleasant surprise the tour was above our expectations. The places visited, the food and the hotels were all above par and I think everyone were happy with the choices made. Special mention for food was the seven course Chinese lunch, which can only be described as " extraordinarily good ". Also for special mention, Elvin Mok our Tour Manager. He is very experienced, responsible and helpful. He understands the Singaporean mindset and applied that instinct in managing the group very well ( he even brought sambal chilly ! ) He pops jokes, tell funny episodes at the right time under right circumstances and gave time to rest also at the right time, This we all appreciated. Although there were two minor hiccups - the allocation of seats on the way to Belgrade and the location of Mercure Hotel at Munich, the overall holiday was terrific and I would recommend anyone who wants to visit the Balkans to go with EU.

This is our 2nd time I and my close friend, Pauline Cheah traveled again together using the same travel agency. We would like to thank your tour manager, Mei, who has done an amazing job to ensure all of us were taken care throughout our trip to Balkans. Besides her being very humble, quiet and a gentle spirit, she is above all very experience, committed and take great responsibilities beyond our expectation! There was last minute change in our itinerary to Munich shopping outlet due to public holiday-Halloween, we were told that the outlet is closed on that day. So she decided to bring us to a popular shopping outlet in Venice, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet for our last minute shopping. On the way to Munich hotel, she treated us all free dinner out of her generosity using her pocket expense. Indeed, we enjoyed the dinner! We would like to thank Mei for executing her job with excellent meeting our requests without hesitation. She deserves more than what she gave out of love and generosity! We can never forget her!

Tour package: 11 D 8 N Discover of Balkan  Travel date: 30 April - 10 May 2017 Tour Manager: Roger Koh We are very impressed by Roger for his tireless spirit and cheerful disposition. We had non stop laughters all the way. Roger had transformed us from 26 total strangers to one Big family. We really enjoyed our happy time together. He is very knowledgeable and very inspired person. He even made an effort to translate the tour in mandarin as there were quite a few mandarin speaking adults. The vegetarian meals provided throughout the entire trip were delicious as well. It was very thoughtful of him to prepare snacks for us to munch on for the long journeys. We were very well taken care of for the trip. In addition, our driver, Mr Luka is very polite, cheerful and ensured that we were always driven to our destinations safely. However, it would be nice if EU could arrange newer hotels for whole trip. Nonetheless, it was a great experience with EU and we will definitely join future tours. Thank you Roger ! Keep up the good spirit !

I greatly appreciated and enjoyed it. He had changed my impression of a rigid tour. Definitely will find him again for my next trip. Thank you for the memorable trip, Ricky!
