Upon arriving in Istanbul, connect to
your domestic flight to Izmir. Make
your way to Selçuk to visit Ephesus,
the best-preserved ancient city of Asia
Minor. Admire the impressive ruins of
the Library of Celsus, one of the most
photographed highlight of Ephesus.
Continue to visit the House of Virgin
Mary, a place believed to be where
Virgin Mary spent the last years of her
life. Next, travel to Kusadasi, a popular
coastal town on Turkey's Aegean coast.
Start the day with a Turkish Leather
Showroom visit. Next, we will explore
Pamukkale, also known as the 'Cotton
Castle' due to the white, cottony
appearance of the mineral bath spas
that abound the calcium-rich province.
See landmarks such as the Ruins
of Hierapolis and the iconic White
Travertine Terraces before taking a
dip in the mineral-rich hot springs.
Set off on a boat for Kekova Island for
an exciting Sunken City Tour. Discover
the stunning underwater ruins of the ancient city, which was taken over by
the sea after an earthquake two
centuries ago! Be mesmerised by the
mysterious beauty of the ruins as you
gaze through the glass-bottomed boat,
before we anchor at Kalekoy (Simena)
Port, where you will have ample time
to visit the village and soak up the
surrounding atmosphere and unique
culture.
Journey to Antalya to begin exploring
its main attractions, which includes
Hadrian's Gate, the Clock Tower,
Kesik Minaret Mosque and the city
walls that date back to the 2nd century.
You will also have some time to visit the
numerous boutiques, art galleries and
museums in the old town. Next, stop
at the unique Duden Waterfalls, a
spectacular cascade that tumbles off
the cliff straight into the sea.
After breakfast, proceed to visit the
2nd-century Greco-Roman Theatre of
Aspendos. Then, make a trip to the
Mevlana Museum, a magnificent
structure of the famed Persian Sufi
mystic in Konya. Thereafter, travel to
Cappadocia. Stop en route to admire
the amazing masterpiece of the
Sultanhani Caravanserai. As night
approaches, enjoy an interesting Zelve
Mapping Show about humankind and
the history of Cappadocia history, which
is projected on the Fairy Chimneys.
In the early morning, you may consider
to go for a famous Turkey experience -
a Hot Air Balloon Ride over the most
extraordinary landscapes or a Jeep Safari Tour, at your own expense
(subject to weather conditions).
Then, kick-start your full day tour of
Cappadocia with photos stops to gaze
at Pigeon Valley and Uchisar Castle.
Next, visit the Goreme Open-Air
Museum, a World Heritage Site with
fascinating cave churches and biblical
frescoes. Then, stop by Monks Valley
(Pasabag) for some memorable photos
at one of the most picturesque spots
of Cappadocia. Afterwards, continue to
Kaymakli Underground City, once
a hiding place for early Christians
escaping Arabic persecutors. Last but
not least, visit a Jewellery Centre
where you can admire some
handcrafted natural stones.
After breakfast, we will make our way
to Safranbolu. Along the way, we will drop by Ankara to visit the Ataturk
Mausoleum, a monumental structure
built for the founder of the Turkish
Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Then, you will soon arrive at the
UNESCO Heritage town of Safranbolu,
often regarded as an open-air
museum of treasures. Check in at an
old Ottoman mansion before enjoying
some free time to explore the town on
your own.
Note: Overnight bag is suggested for Ottoman
House stay.
After breakfast, head to the old town
of Safranbolu, where you can sample
some fine Turkish delights. Next,
admire the glorious architectural
masterpiece of Kaymakamlar
Museum as well as the Safranbolu
Citadel. Thereafter, continue to
Istanbul. Shop at the world's largest
canopied market, the Grand Bazaar -
haggle for fantastic bargains among
some 4,000 stores hawking jewellery,
pottery pieces, spices, carpet, and
leather goods.
Today, our first schedule is to undergo
the requisite COVID-19 Test together as
a group. We shall then continue our
sightseeing tour of the 'imperial city' by
visiting the Blue Mosque and Hagia
Sophia - magnificent monuments
dedicated to two major religions of the
world peacefully standing side by side.
Next, view the remaining structures of
the Hippodrome of Constantinople,
which comprises 3 monumental
columns and one fountain. Last but not
least, visit the Topkapi Palace, which
served as the official residence of the
Ottoman Sultans in the 15th to 16th
centuries.
Today, spend the day free at leisure to
explore on your own. You may wish to
consider an optional trip to the
Egyptian Spice Bazaar and a cruise
along the European and Asian shores
of the Bosphorus. Thereafter, transfer
to the airport for your flight home.
